Artists: Show Us Your Green!

Calling all area artists:
Show your "GREEN" !!!
(No, it's not Saint Patrick's Day yet!)

Details are still being worked out, but here's the deal so far:

We are looking for artists who want to show and sell their work. Artwork must be connected in some way to being "green". (Using acid-free materials, renewable sources like using soy-based inks, reusing items,...)
Artwork (outside) dimensions must measure no more than 24" in any direction.
Art can be framed or unframed (preferably w/ gallery-wrapped canvas).
Works on paper may be unframed, but must be matted, preferably with a backing board, so it can be slipped into a plastic sheet protector to help facilitate the displaying of the art.

Three-dimensional work such as pottery, will be considered as long as it leans more toward the fine art, non-utilitarian type of art rather than useful craft items, such as a clay bowl or vase.

Exhibits will change every 2 months, starting with the 15th of the month and ending a few days before the next cycle. (We're running a little bit behind schedule for the first (February 15) show, which we'd like to get up ASAP!)

Each exhibit will feature 2-3 artists each cycle*. Depending on artwork size, each artist may show up to 8 pieces [this number may change].
*For the very first exhibit, (Feb to mid April) we'd like to have as many artists as possible to show, so the number of pieces allowed will be limited to 3.

Location: "Save Some Green" is the name of a new store at 2005 Chestnut in Philadelphia. A "soft" opening is planned for mid-February, with a grand opening in March 2010.

There is no cost to artists. Artists will be responsible for artwork delivery and pick up at specified date/times. There will be no labels so artists must also deliver a price list including their name, the works' title, medium, and price. Asking price of art must be no more than $250 USD. Artist will receive 70% of the sale price when a piece is sold. A portion of the sales will go toward an eco-friendly organization.
